Barage to prevent tidal salt water moving upstream, so keeping the Ashburton River fresh water upstream, tidal downstream. The three mile pool and others are all upstream from this point.Constructed in 1959 by the Forrest family from Minderoo Station.Rebuilt in 2019 by the Forrest family of Minderoo Station
