Mad Dog is one of 6 distinct
camping areas in Woooloondool campground which is located in
Murrumbidgee Valley Regional Park and managed by Parks NSW. All sites have river frontage on the
Murrumbidgee River.Wooloondool campground is a dog friendly area.There is no fee for
camping but you must book online and there is a $6 booking fee. Under 1km unsealed road access but suitable for 2wd unless wet.Wooloondool campground offers plenty of
camping spots for caravans, campers, and tents, within groves of black box trees. River red gums line the nearby
Murrumbidgee River, providing habitat for ring-tailed possums, wallabies, kangaroos and wombats. You’re likely to see these at dawn and dusk, whilst tawny frog mouths live and hunt in this area at night. Fishing and swimming, plus kayaking is popular. BYO everything - this is a
bush camp with no facilities.Suitable for caravans, campervans and tents. Sites are unmarked and unallocated along the river. There are no facilities and no/patchy phone service.
