Wannon Crossing - VIC

Lovely free camp spot right on the river. It's a small campground with allocated sites for 6 Tents, 1 camper trailer but sites cannot be booked and operate on a first come first serve basis. The campground is located within the Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park so no dogs, no generators, no fishing, no firearms. Toilets, picnic tables and firepits are the only facilities and campfires are permitted unless there is a fire ban in place. Take all your own rubbish out - no bins. The small Wannon Crossing Campground sits adjacent to the tranquil Wannon River and surrounded by dense eucalypt forest. A short drive provides access to iconic peaks including Mount Abrupt or Mount Sturgeon where you can take in the vistas looking over the rugged landscape below.
