First mentioned by Michael Terry in the journal of his 1933 expedition, Redcliff pound sits in between the northern and southern arms of the Murraba Range. It is not a distinct pound shape like the iconic
Wilpena Pound is South Australia. Rather this is a broad spinifex clad bowl bordered by low ranges. The higher hills on the western side provide excellent
views across Terry's "Chugga Karri" and
lake Hazlett.
