An official
campsite is located on the
cliff top just above the eastern end of
the beach. It is a key overnight stop on the South Coast Track, typically used on Day 5 or 6 of the trek. The sites are
well-protected within coastal scrub and forest, which helps shield tents from the frequent high winds of the Southern Ocean.No wooden platforms. One long drop
toilet. Fresh
water is collected from the
creek that feeds the waterfall. It is strongly recommended to treat or boil this
water before drinking.This site is just a few metres from the top of the steep rock scramble that leads up from the
Granite Beach waterfall
