This is a
sand dune within the Queen Victoria Springs
nature reserve - samed after Victor Streich, who was the geologist on the Elder Exploring Expedition in 1891, following in the footsteps of the 1875 Giles expedition. The mound is not far from the
Queen Victoria Spring. This area of the country features soft, sandy desert dunes not to be taken lightly.
