THE RABBIT FENCE The rabbit fence was an ambitious project undertaken to halt the spread of rabbits across Queensland. The fence followed the boundary between Mt Playfair and Caldervale. Any person who wilfully or neglectfully leaves this gate open or causes any stock to be confined encamped on this rabbit fence will be prosecuted and will " be liable on conviction to a penalty " of 200 (pounds) By order Leichhardt Rabbit Board.
