The reservoir holds
water pumped up into it by the
Shoalhaven River Scheme. Of this
water, some can be:
1. Further pumped into the Wingecarribee Reservoir.
2. Released back into the Shoalhaven to generate 320 MW of power.
3. Allowed to flow over Fitzroy Falls in a regulated amount. So even after heavy rain the falls are no better.
