Lake Eda is a near-permanent
freshwater lake largely contained within the
Roebuck Plains pastoral lease on the south side of Great Northern Highway, about 40km from town.
It contains several different types of wetland, including seasonally flooded grassland, permanent freshwater lakes and seasonal freshwater lakes and marshes.
