Mongers Lake is 180kms long and situated 300kms northeast of
Perth in Western Australia. John
Forrest discovered and named it in the 1870s. It is mostly dry, although after heavy rains, it can fill to a depth of 30cms of salt
water. There are some magnificent rock formations on the West side.
