This is a very popular overnight Rest Area on the Barkly Hwy during the tourist season. Located 60km from the Mount Isa K Mart, and 60.8km from the Cloncurry Shell Service Station.

The Fountain Springs are not located at this rest area.Across the Hwy is the turnoff onto Fountain Springs road and travel for 27 km to reach this beautiful permanent spring - a popular swimming and picnic area.
