Whilst the Rabbit Flat roadhouse was once an important stop for fuel for travellers on the Tanamia it has long since closed. The Rabbit Flat Roadhouse is permanently closed and no fuel, food,
water or accommodation is available at Rabbit Flat. Do not plan to resupply here — this catches people out. The site is essentially a historic stop only. Some old buildings and
infrastructure remain, but there are no
services. It is unknown at this time if access into Rabbit Flat is even possible as it is a 2km side trip off
the Tanami track - please observe current
signage and add photos to this listing to keep things current for the next users.
It sits within very remote country — no phone coverage.
BoM still has an operational weather station located 200m NW of the Roadhouse site.
