4WD accessible
camp site in the Ka Ka Mundi section of the
Carnarvon National Park. Accessible for offroad 4WD camper trailers. No facilities and open fires are prohibited. Book online.
The Bunduncundoo Springs is the place to go for exploring. Go looking for the tiny fig birds and frogs. Enjoy walking around the rocky outcrops and dry creek beds near the
camping area. Close to the
camp site is the stream flowing from
the springs with a lush growths of mosses and ferns. The waters of these springs are cool, crystal clear and a good source of
drinking water. The Aborigines also believed these waters had great healing powers and would immerse their children into them to cure bone problems.
There are no proper walking tracks and it's a bit of a bush bash and
rock hop along the stream. Dedicated bushwalkers use the
camp as a base and head off with maps, compasses and GPS.
