This campground is located on the edge of the Coorong
lagoon and only accessible by boat or canoe.There is one unpowered
campsite which is suitable for tents.There are no facilities and campfires are not allowed.From the
Camping area, there is a short walk through the dunes to the Ocean side of Younghusband Peninsula. This area is named after the first European to discover the mouth of the Murray in April 1831, Captain Collett Barker who swam from one side of the mouth to the other and disappearing without trace.
