Beef n Stout Pie.

  • 1/2 kg Chuck Steak
  • 1 clove of Garlic
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 Tsp. thyme
  • 1 Tsp. tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 stubby of Stout
  • 1 Tsp. plain flour
  • 1 cup beef stock (reduced salt if you don't like too much salt)
  • 1 onion


  • Step 1Brown the beef with the onions.
  • Step 2Add Everything else.
  • Step 3Then simmer till meat is well cooked and gravy is reduced and thick. You can add more water if needed.
  • Step 4When cooked place meat into pie dish and top with pastry. I used Short crust pastry.
  • Step 5Bake in camp oven till pastry is cooked and brown.
