Note: This trip is recommended for experienced desert travellers only. This trip is cross country from the Colson track, there are no tracks to follow, it is virgin desert that is very rough and slow going.
Vehicles must be very well prepared and multiple tyre stakes can be expected. The trip plot is from Mt Dare to Birdsville, via Geo Surveys Hill and the Geo-Centre.
Via the Madigan line to camp 5, then South down the Colson track for approximately 50km, before turning East and heading off-track towards Geo-Surveys Hill.
