Tanami Nyrippi Loop - NT

This trek takes in some really nice parts of Tanami. Leaving the Tanami Hwy it comes in the Newhaven Road through to Newhaven Sanctuary, Lake Bennett and Mt Gurner. Then it's onto Nyirippi and the surrounds of Mt Stanley. From Nyirippi you can also track through to Kintore on the Great Desert/Gary Junction Road or explore Lake Mackay a huge slat lake the straddles the border (that's another trek!). From Nyirippi divert down the Central Wedge Road and track back to Alice through the awesome West MacDonnell Ranges.
