Family: Myrtaceae
Genus: Eucalyptus
Species: platypus
Main Flower Colour: Yellow

Description

Although Moort grows into a small mallee-like tree, the ones that we have seen have been very low growing (in exposed conditions). The bark is smooth, and the leaves are rounded. The peduncles (stems of the flower buds) are flattened and strap-like, while the flower buds are angular, topped with finger-like bud caps (operculum). The flowers hang downwards (pendant) and are greenish yellow.

Flowering start in September and ends in December.

Identification

The main flower colour is yellow.
