Description

Compact rounded shrub, 1–2 m tall, 1–2 m wide. No lignotuber. Small branches and young leaves covered with short hairs. Leaves flat, elliptic or obovate, up to 4cm long, 10–25 mm wide, margins dentate with 2–10 teeth each 1–2 mm long per side.

Clusters of flowers in upper leaf axils, with 1, 3 or 5 flowers. Perianth 8–11mm long, mid-yellow or orange, red-black on limb and margins of tepals, glaucous. Pistil 10–13 mm long.

Flowering start in July and ends in October.

Identification

The main flower colour is red.
