A couple of months ago there was information on the forum in relation to a manufacturer who makes carry bags for Porta Potties. I have looked thru the archives but can't fine the thread. Can any advise of where I can find the information?

Cheers

Wayne,

It would have to be Klaus Infront Camping Gear

It could have been Infront Camping Gear: Porta Potti bags

I've bought a few things from them and found it to be good quality.

My wife did the same, she used a old wooly type under blanket, got out the sewing machine added a draw string and Presto!! Stops it from scratching and chaffing! Michael

This sounds like what we need. At the moment it is carried in a plastic box in the rear of the car. Hasn't spilt or anything so far. But the future is another thing!!

Are these bags odour and fluid proof?

We often go to the Vic High country where there are a lot of rather rough rocky tracks and of course don't forget the typical corrugated roads of the "outback". I am not keen on putting it on the spare and we don't tow. Thus it is in the cabin with us. The cost is not an issue but I don't want to throw good money away.

What are their shortcomings? Any comments would help.

Hi Phil,
We are new to the "Porta Potti" game and have only taken the potti on one trip so far, and haven't tackled any rough tracks yet with it in tow! However we are planning on heading up into the High Country this weekend and it's coming along!

The infront bag is well constructed with quality zips, and the porta potti (thetford brand) appears to seal well so hopefully we don't have any problems. I have placed the porta potti in its original plastic bag as well for some added piece of mind.

So I may have some more tales (good or bad) after the weekend!

Cheers, Geoff

Excellent mate. All ears. Lets us know how it goes.

If you get up Dargo way check out Billy Goat. A good climb a week back. But there is a big tree across it that will stop any trailers. Too tight to get around it.

As mentioned above, infront camping supply a range of porta pottie bags. We purchased one and it's well made and has been good so far.

The link to their website and the porta potti range is here

No affliation etc, just a satisfied customer.
