We have 5 BMW 1200 GS's and a 200 series Cruiser heading to Birdsville in July and need some good advice to road conditions up that way. Previous forums give me a bit of a hint, but looking to also get some advice from bike riders if possible. Particularly route selection. Cheers.

Video clip of the Strz. last October.
Pretty typical, but a bit more stoney north of Innamincka, particularly via Cordillo Downs.

My nephew did this last year on a F650 with us. The only bit that got a bit hairy was between Bourke and Wanaaring where there was a fair bit of bulldust. After Wanaaring the road got a lot better and by the time you're past Tibooburra it's all good if you're reasonably competent.....
