I'm heading to the Cape shortly and want to stay on good roads this time , until
Mareeba at least , but the shortest way. Has any one travelled between
Tambo and
Clermont on the dirt or
Barcaldine north to Charters Towers recently.?

G'day,heading to the Cape in July, looking at travelling from
Barcaldine to
Cairns, but using the Kennedy Development Rd from
Barcaldine. Looks to be ok, will ask for road conditions closer before I leave. Will watch your thread with interest. Have a great trip.

you will have no drama, main roads have been on it now for 3 years.
