We're in
Broome and considering going to
Barn Hill. It seems a long while since anyone commented on their experiences at
Barn Hill (good or bad).
Can someone provide some recent
feedback on staying there please?
We also understand that mossies can be a problem there - can that be discussed also please?
Regards
Phil

Pat and I were at
Barn Hill last year and had a great time, the weekend roast and entertainment was probably the highlight. We were on an unpowered site but had water and had a
cliff edge site. Lots of people, I believe over two hundred meals served on the Sunday night. Staff are excellent, fresh bread (if you are quick) each day and other things from the
bakery. We really enjoyed our stay at
Barn Hill.
Cheers, Nev.

Use camps 6 or 7? ...several alternatives either side of BH. Am away onsite at the moment and don't have my copy handy. We found the whole deal there a bit tacky and left for a bit of solitude elsewhere. Cheers.

I have Camps 7 - I dont see much either side of BH unless we stay on the Gt Northern Hwy (really exciting, I don't think!) or go down to 80 Mile beach/Pardoo/Cape Keraudren, which are all further west than we wanted to go from
Broome.

Hi Phil, we were at the place 2 weeks ago for just a night. Showering in the roofless ablution block puts a new meaning to "beneath our radiant Southern Cross". Had unpowered
cliff top site and nice neighbours. Only one bar of telstra signal near office if you are lucky. Don't remember mozzies as any worse than elsewhere. Scenery nice and enjoyed stroll on beach for our $22/dble. It's only 9km from hwy and road is OK.... W

We were there a few years back and my wife said she would never go back and I agree,
it's better suited for blokes that want to do a few days fishing and drinking, but each to his or her own.
