Hi, I am due to travel to Qld in a few days from WA, could other members give their advice of the
places to try and avoid filling up. I know it's going to hurt the wallet, but if I can make it a little less so from advice from fellow members that would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

google the roadhouses and ask them their prices. Generally Nullabor, Border Village, Madura and Cocklebiddy are the dearest. Also the service station in
Norseman is cheaper than the roadhouse at the tee
junction.

When I moved from
Perth to
El Arish back in 2007 towing my Van I topped up in
Southern Cross then next top up was Pt
Augusta , 2000 Klms , of course I had capacity of 360 Lts and It was really good to by-pass all the Nullabor fuel stops just stopping for an Iced Coffee.
I don't think it would be worth the expense to buy 4 or 5 jerry cans , you won't gain any benefit by spending money on them.

I'll save you the trouble... here is the detail from Richard:
This was mid July diesel prices, may have altered.
Norseman- $1.65 BP
Caiguna- $2.09 BP
Cocklebitty _$2.05 BP
Mundrabilla $1.89 Mobile
Eucla- $1.89
Caltex
Nullarbor - $2.04 Mobile
Nundroo-$1.62
LibertyCeduna-$1.55
Shell
As you can see a bit of difference so depending on your range pick the cheapest if possible. We had two stops-
Caiguna - only power free showers, which was ok and Nullarbor only power and pay for shower, which was good. Make sure you find the
Shell in
Ceduna as it is 10cents cheaper than others.

Thanks Glids, concise and to the point. I have about a 850km range going over, so quite a bit of choice. Coming back I will be pulling a van I am going to collect so we shall see what the consumption is then.

I'll try to make a note of all of them as we go across as I don't use bio-diesel in my vehicle.
