Hi,

We are going to Darwin - probably stay for a week (have an appointment in the city Wednesday) & have a small dog with us - any good ideas for a park to stay will be most welcome???

Hi Trevor, can highly recommend Oasis Caravan Park 22 ks out of the city dog friendly stayed there in 2011 owners great and couldn't do enough for us. easy 15mins drive into the city.

Thanks for that - unfortunately they are booked up for some time, so we had a quick drive through Coolalinga CP (OMG!!) We are very spoilt on the Sunshine Coast in Qld :0)

We stayed for the week at KOA park - the ensuites are a bit dated, but we made it our own by having all our personal belongings + cleaned it ourselves each day, so not too bad.

It is less expensive by the week & there are certain sections that only accommodate pets - our opinion of this park is that it is ok considering where it is, it's a central spot & us dog owners are limited (it is our choice to bring the family pet).

Lots of places to walk the dog + really wanted to mention a grooming place that we used called Plush Pets, not far away at suburb of Rapid Creek - great service & if we lived here, would be the people to groom our dog always.

I can't recommend this park, but KOA near the airport take dogs. it was the only place we could get into last week!

Have you tried Badgers - there's a number of parks listed in there for Darwin although not all take dogs.

KOA caravan park, near the airport, takes dogs.

We stayed there only because we couldn't get in anywhere elsem and we wouldn't particularly recommend it.

Have you had a look at Badgers to see if there are other Darwin parks that take dogs?
