Has any one traveled the road north of the
Murray River lately ? We are planing to travel east from "Crow" country to
Mildura and south east to
the promised land at the end of September....

Yes, i travelled the bit from
Renmark to the border then turned north about a month ago.

Went that way a few months back from Remark to
Wentworth and track was fine. More interesting than the boring black top. A few corrugations but nothing a normal car cant handle. Would pay to
check close to to your travel time as late rains can adversely affect the track however.

If you want a bit of adventure along the way you could do the
Chowilla_Old_Coach_Road.
We did it a couple of years ago on a tagalong towing vans. It was a reasonable track then. The 'main' dirt road was in good condition.
