Hi all,
The 2004 Adventure had been decided, time off work booked, and this year I am finally crossing the Simpson and visiting the Flinders. There will be two other vehicles containing family members also keen to complete this trip.
The three week journey departs
Melbourne on Saturday 26th June, and we are meeting up with another vehicle in
Port Augusta on Monday 28th June. From there we will visit
Coober Pedy,
Painted Desert, Ooodnadatta, Mount Dare, Dalhousie, 4 days in the Simpson,
Birdsville,
Innamincka via
Walkers Crossing Track, Strezlecki to Arkaroola, week in the Flinders then
home by 18th July.
Not sure on exact dates of arriving in
Birdsville,
Innamincka or the Flinders, but they will be posted on my website when the planning has been completed. If anyone else is going to be in these areas during these time, let me know so that we can catch up.
Come on June!

Glen ,
We will be going in the other direction from
Sydney to Cameron Cnr, Innnamiinaka,
birdsville ,
Marree and the Flinders.
the Simpson will have to wait.
We may cross as we will be leaving
Sydney June 26.
Look for a Holden Fronteria towing a camper trailer.
Regards
Vince

Hello Glenn,
I see that you are stopping off for a cuppa on 16th July. I should be
home as I am going under the knife again at the beginning of July which has put my plans for a big trip out to WA in disarray. Hopefully 2005 will be the year of going bush for us.
Pretty impressive website you have there and no doubt you will be adding to it in the future.
Cheers,
Willem

Glenn, we too are "doing the Simpson".
We have planned to leave
sydney about 17th to 20th of june.
No one in our party has actually done the simpson and we are looking for advice on which direction we should tackle it, ie east to west or west to east.
Our first plan was to go syd-
bourke-camerons corner-
innamincka-
lyndhurst-
marree-
birdsville-dalhousie-then up to
the rock and back down to
oodnadatta- then through south australia to
broken hill. any advice on direction of travel over the simpson would be appreciated
thanks bob n
