Hi Everyone, I am interested in the 30 second tent from Pinnacle Wholesalers in Ballarat, Victoria. The tent appears to be a copy of the original 30 second tent from Oztent. I would be grateful for any info concerning this tent. I am looking for a tent suitable for touring.....that is....stop for the night...quick set up & then off in the morning. The advertised product states that the window/door mesh is mosquito & midge proof. I have checked Pinnacles website but there is no feedback or comments from customers. Thanks Rob

Mr NTVRX,

Sorry, but I have no info on that tent. however, I have a good news story about my recent purchase of a quick set-up tent.

I decided to buy a Jet Tent F-21, but could not find a shop that had one on display. I emailed Oztent and they told me that Amazon at Wetherill Park in Sydney, had one for me to look at.

I had done a search on the web for the cheapest price and it was about $1045 plus $25 freight, so I said to the guy at Amazon, "will you match that price". He said no, and then with a grin, said he had it on special and could do it for $799. Whoopeeeeee.

The reason I decided on the Jet Tent, was that it was nearly as fast as the Oztent to put up and pull down, but it was only about a metre long and could be stored inside the car instead of on the roof racks. I reckon if you take into account the time spent getting the Oztent on and off the racks etc, mine is a quicker deal anyway (and it can't be stolen).

Cheers,

Willie.

Thanks Pete, good to know.
I was looking at their website just now and the 2 post hoist took my eye, but if there is any concern with warranty I'll give it a miss.

I did note they illegally try to flog some of their gear with a 6 month warranty. Not good. There's no shortage of people importing the same gear from China who give the proper 12 month stat warranty.

Yarda! They can offer you a 6 month warranty but it carries a 12 month warranty by Law (Australian Consumer Law)! Michael

I can't help with tent advice but I do have a Pinnacle brand awning and the quality of workmanship and materials is first class.
