road between Ivanhoe and Broken hill

Im takening the family to Broken hill for the weekend its only a 10 hour drive from Leeton . What i want to know is what is the road like between Ivanhoe and Broken Hill.

We drove along it about a month ago and found it fairly good. Big probs if wet though. It had rained the day before and there were sections that you would get syuck even in 4WD.
If it is dry you will be OK.

Uppy, I agree that the road is okay when dry...
Not sure where you got the 10 hours from though? I am originally from Narrandera and I wouldn't think it would take more than 6 or 7 hours driving time.....I did it comfortably from BH to Canberra in one day about 10 years ago.

Came up that way on Australia day. The road was great, a couple of the grids were a little rough but nothing to worry about.

Chap from work went down to visit a friend along the Ivanhoe Rd about a week ago and said the same.

We left Hillston at about 10am and arrived in Broken Hill about 5 hours later. We travelled via Mosgiel. Quick stop in Ivanhoe and just a toilet stop at Menindee

Most People I know count about 7hrs from Leeton or Griffith.
