No first-hand info but there's a review in the current Caravan World.

Hi Midge
I saw this unit at the Queanbeyan 4X4 show. The pamphlets had the word Xplorer blacked out, and the sales person said that there was some copyright problem in Australia. It's a South African product. They're changed the name to Xpedition. Caravan & Motorhome magazine (march) has the unit featured on the cover with a big article (as the Xplorer). Caravan World must have done their article later! Again it's the featured article but named the Xpedition. Both worth a read.
cheers

Hi Midge,

The quoted price in C & M is $34,900. It's not clear whether this price includes the shower annex and the cooking annex. There's also a full annex with walls as an optional extra (to replace the kitchen annex).
Length 17ft 3in
Width 5ft 9in (they make a lot of this - no wider than the average 4X vehicle to allow access to narrow roads.)
The articles give the phone numbers for Open Sky (02) 9565 5345 Sydney or
(02) 9568 7011 Melbourne and www.jurgens.co.za for more info.
I'm happy to answer any other questions if the answer's in the article!
Oh I just looked at the Caravan World article.
The annexes are optional. Kitchen: $650 Bathroom tent: $850 fully enclosed: $2950

Cheers

Thanks Antichiunus for the info, it looks like a great camper, we have got a campomatic and very happy with it as we can put the boat on top and there is just the 2 of us, but our friends are looking for a bit more as they have 2 young kids and this seems like it could be the answer, we are both heading over to Adelaide this weekend for the camping show we hope they have one one display.

It sounds like you're well set up Midge. Tell your friends the unit looks really well built and if they're keen on outdoor life they'll love it. There's no dining area inside though, so buying the full annex might be a great idea for kids on wet days. (what's a wet day I hear you ask? Not many of them around here! haha)

Cheers
