Thanks i was just having a look online. In 2008 we went to Chili Beach it was covered in rotting seaweed. Stank more than the toilets at the Devils Marbles.

Unfortunately you do need to book in advance for those places, which is a pain if you are just cruising and don't want to stick to a pre-determined schedule.
Also, at Elliott/Twin Falls, when we were last up there it was difficult to tell from the Parks website how big a particular camping area was - we had one which could take five vehicles and three trailers, but others would only be big enough for a tent.
There are good free camp spots though, at places on the OTT like Nolans, and also out at places like Vriliya Beach. Also found a decent free camp in an old quarry near Chili Beach.
Enjoy.

We are heading up in 5wks and I booked Elliot falls in Late Jan and there was only 1 tent site left and no camper trailer spots for the time we were there so if you are looking get to it quick.
