Stanage bay current road conditions

Thinking of going to
Stanage Bay for a few days, towing our Outback StarCraft caravan, depending on current road conditions. If you have been there within the past couple of weeks, I would appreciate some information please.
We are aware that its a hundren kms of dirt road.

We were there last year. The road in was potholed - big time and I doubt that has changed. The issue was potholes rather than corrugations - but still navigable if you take it easy. Very nice little spot and pretty good fishing and very good crabbing and fantastic empty beaches. The
camp site only has basic long drops and water may be obtained from the Sea Rescue guys based at the end of the
camping area - if you ask nicely and offer a donation to the Service.

That is very helpful. I guess we will start out and see what it's like, unless I get a reply from someone who has been there recently who advises otherwise.
Sounds like our kind of place.
We will have enough water on board for our time there, also
toilet and shower.

Heather - according to the local fishing report he road is still potholed as at 26/6/2014.
The weekly fishing report can be obtained if you google "fishing Stanage Bay"

I would love to read your article and will MM you with my email address. We had four fantastic nights there and could have stayed much longer, had we the time to spare. it is a lovely place and the road was ok, not nearly so rough as some of the
Kimberley roads we travelled on last year in WA!
