Yep, in the waste tank I use about a cupful of water then add about 100 ml of blue, close it up and give it a swish around.

I presume you mean how much additive in the water in the rinse tank? I use about 100ml of additive to about half a tank of rinse water...I only half fill the rinse tank to keep the weight down. We only flush about 1 pump stroke when we use it. We only use the unit for no.1's.

Instructions are written on the bottle or packet. Just follow those.

No need for the chemicals --------

Use napisan or store product of similar name. Much cheaper and works fine.

Napisan is septic friendly etc while some of the "products" sold by toilet makers/sellers are not. Couple of tablespoons should be fine for 10 litres.

The other trick with toilets is to travel with them before emptying if possible as this ensures the contents are reduced to liquid for easy empting.

Hey John
Wife n I did a trip to wa few months ago, first time we had a toilet, we just filled the top tank with plain water, no additive. In the bottom holding tank, we put about 2 litres of water and one cap full of nappy san, only used home brand, as we were told it is better than leading brands. Just give it a good mix around before use...
So good... Never been excited about sitting on the loo before, just so much easier to have it in the corner of the camp trailer, we got a mate to make up an aluminium box, that the loo travels in on the draw bar. Clean, easy, and no smells.. No dramas... I'm all for the nappy san, give the chemicals a miss, they are no good if you have to dig a hole or dump it in a drop loo.. Way better for the environment ..
Cheers Odog

If you use the PP for only No 1's then napisan will not work.
It requires No 2's to get it going. Also needs to be agitated [drive with it] or again it does not work.
