We are on our way around and just leaving
Sydney heading for
Melbourne where we intend stay for a week or so. Does anybody know a good reasonably priced caravan park that is close to public transport to the City?
Also any good free camps along the coastline to
Melbourne.
Thanks very much
Lis and Jorgen

Erik you need to get yourself the wikicamps app. This will show you all the free camps and caravan parks Australia wide. Have a great trip.

We stayed at
Ashley Gardens, Braybrook which has public transport to the city from the
gate, is one of the closest to central
Melbourne, and has a small shopping centre right next door (we took our groceries to the caravan with the trolley). It is expensive, but anything right in
Melbourne is. The area was quiet at night, and the park
well appointed. It is easy to find from all directions, being close to a ring road. Booking recommended.

Two votes for Ashley Gardens.
Just back from 6 months around and this is one spot we are happy to recommend.
Close to public transport, close to shops (butcher,
bakery,
supermarket, chemist and grog
shop) right ht at the front
gate, large shopping centre 1km down the road. Great amenities in the park -
pool, spa,
camp kitchen games room etc.
These guys are happy to store vans as
well.
Cheers
Anthony
