Brian - There have been about 6 brands of the dunny roll filter. What brand is yours?
Frantz, 4M, Jackmaster, Kleenoil, Motor Guard, are just some of the brands off the top of my head.
They have been in production for over 65 years. Retlif was the original, they were based in California.
What do you need for yours? You don't need to buy the dunny rolls off the filter maker.

I have a Filter 2000 unit, now called Filter Technology, they are based in Rutherford near
Newcastle. I use a car sized unit because of the size and change every 5000Ks. My one is a alloy top you load the
toilet type roll filter in but now the cover comes with the filter for a few $ extra, simply spin on. Regards Michael.

Brian - Mil-Mac and 4M are the one and the same. Mil-Mac is the (W.A.-based) company, 4M was the brand on the filter. I think the original business has undergone a lot of changes over the years.
I think the "4M" came from the 4 original blokes who produced the filter, their names all started with M.
Mil-Mac appear to still be in business, here's their contact details.
Mil-Mac W.A. P/L
Frantz have been in business for many decades, but as they are of U.S. origin, you pay a premium for their products.

The Filter Technology refills are about $8 if you insert them yourself if that system is still available and the newer spin on top is about $14 each, you can then extend your oil service time or just enjoy cleaner oil for $14 every 5000ks. My patrol has 380,000 ks on it and has had a bypass filter fitted since new and uses a few hundred millilitres of oil between 10,000
services!! Michael
