No problem. Take your time & enjoy. A bit winding nth end to Audley & sth near Stanwell Park, but no problem.Seacliff bridge is one of the exciting roads as seen on a number of adverts.

Thanks Rod, that is why we are going to Liverpool outskirts first on the way to see that road, Seacliff bridge? then it's downhill all the way to Gerringong for the new year, with the grandkid's -woo hoo!

There is a lot of new roadworks around Gerringong at the moment as well as they are widening the road etc but it doesn't cause much grief

To dodge most of the roadwork, turn off at Gerringong and follow the coast road to Bomaderry via Coolangatta (the original one.) The turnoff will probably be labelled to Shoalhaven Heads.

I will be drivng from Wagga to Nowra then to Shellharbour, on Friday (19th). I will post on Friday night what the road works are like.

Nomadic, a simple question if I may. If the OP is driving from Liverpool to Gerringong via Stanwell Park, why would you suggest he drive 50 odd km's past his destination to Bomaderry?

I can just see it...The kids on the back seat "are we there yet"...

Dad the driver..."yes we have arrived at our destination of Gerringong but there are bloody road works so we are going to keep going to Bomaderry, then if luck is on our side we will do a Uee and come back to Gerringong via Berry or maybe via Canberra"

Kids..."Mum, Dad is having a brain freeze again, Are we there yet"

Mum..."Yes we have arrived at our destination of Gerringong but there are bloody road works...."

As promised...

The road works should not be an issue. It all looked pretty smooth through there today.

Another update on road conditions...

Today I drove down to Nowra. When you get to the southern end of the Kiama bends, the road has been filtered. It is very well sign posted so should not be an issue. The right lane goes to Nowra via Berry. The left lane filters into Gerringong. The Gerringong filter lane drops to 40kph.

Today I took the Gerringong lane as I usually take the Seven Mile Beach road to Nowra. There was very little traffic, but I can see a couple of spots that will scare some lesser drivers. If things look clogged on the left when you get to the top of the hill at the end of the bends, take the right and turn into Gerringong when you get past the winery.

And a message to everyone -

Word of warning...Drive at or under the speed limit...All drivers should be doing that everyday anyway. Today I spotted 5 unmarked, 7 blue and whites, 4 candy cars and 3 bikes...and that was just between Shellharbour and the road works at Gerringong...It would be good to see that sort "fire power" around the Primbee bypass !!

Those cops are not just on show. They were getting idiots left right and centre. So don't be an idiot.
