Hi David & Michelle,
Just looking around and going with the flow - found this post and do agree with your stand whole-heartedly. Had a look at the Additive Alert site, thanks for that. We have made great efforts to maintain high levels of nutrition when we're travelling which means buying fresh stuff, cooking a lot, and using the fridge wisely. We carry dry grains, root vegies & fruit in a sling, cans of things like chick peas, meat cryovac packed and so
forth. We also keep things in the fridge that travel
well such as red capsicum and celery rather than lettuce This means we avoid as many additives as possible. The
supermarket list is mostly loo paper and rolled oats :-)
We also attend to hygiene
well - good wash-ups, no plastic plates with scores in them that harbour nasties, and so on.
