I first read this blog back in 2010 and was amazed with your journey. To note it still sits as one of the most read
blogs doesn't surprise me in the slightest given not only the adventure, but your wonderful ability to tell a great story. This year I travelled out for the Finke Desert race with my eldest son who competed in the event. From
Yunta in SA, we followed the old Ghan railway all the way to Alice, and for the return trip we crossed the Simmo. Greatest 3 weeks of my life (don't tell my missus that).
Campergirl, I hope you're still out there living the dream and will one day share another adventure and story with us because it was awesome to read this one again.
Cheers

Hi Scott,
What a lovely surprise to wake up and find your message. Thank you!
Naturally still around, Little Van is still with me and we still travel when we can.
The last few years have been adventures driving a Race Truck across from
Sydney to WA and return for the Australasian Safari and competing in the event (in a Pajero). I've seen some amazing country in WA up through Gascoyne, then driving the truck back to
Sydney by myself and having little adventures on the way (only I could find a way to get a Race Truck into some amazing
places on the edge of the Nullabor!)
I'm now planning my next adventure -
Haddon Corner! My goal is to eventually visit all of the 3 state border corners.
I so please you enjoyed my story and I'm glad that it may have inspired others to go and visit our amazing country.
I've travelled to over 25 countries around the world, going to
places most people would never get to experience, however Australia always wins by a country mile! We have it all here, in our own backyard!
I'll try to write another story and share my crazy experiences with you all. Just waiting for the next crazy adventure!
Take care Scott - hope we meet up one day and share a cuppa and stories!
Best wishes for a Merry Christmas and exciting New Year to you and your family.
:-) Campergirl
