Hi everyone ,
I have checked the threads but I still need to find the name of a good quality
hydraulic jack and who sells them in
Sydney . Or should I buy an exhaust jack instead ??
I'm off for three weeks around the Eyre Peninsula this Wednesday . Anybody got any good tips on the area . ( I read the trip notes on the site )
Thanks ,
Willie

Willie,
The question is should I buy an exhaust jack AS
WELL as the hydraulic as the aplication are different. The exhaust jacks are mainly used in sand or mud or where there are no sharp objects and are used to lift the vehicle clear of a bog.
They are not used to jack up a vehicle ie to change a flat.
Trek notes on this sight are good.
Googs Track,
Gawler Ranges for inland exploring and any of the coastal towns along there are great as
well. Some good
places west of
Ceduna but I guess it depends where abouts you are mainly going.

David ,
Thanks for the info .
We are starting at Pt Lincoln and working our way to
Ceduna and just west of there at a relaxed pace . We are not going inland at all . We like beaches and fishing etc .

Willie,
We bought a 4000kg hyd. jack at Supercheap, a couple of years ago, for 80 series. Have never used it to change a flat, but for about $60-80, it'd have to be as good or better than the poxy Toyota jacks.
Hooroo...
