G'day Mick
There are plenty of geological features, including artefact sites, ceremonial sites located within mining leases, I know of a site of significance to the Aboriginal people of the
Pilbara, that has been consumed in the mining process.
Weeli Wollie spring(s) is currently under actual threat as we speak, the miners are dewatering their
mine operations and subsequently altering the natural
water source that creates the
water flow of the spring that feeds Weeli Wollie, yes lots of clever words by the miners to back up their dewatering program but only time will tell and what if they are wrong ~ Oops, back to the drawing board?
There is solid proof of future mining so close to the Hickman Meteorite Crater you could see the grin(s) on the faces of the exploration drillers. I've been assured by Dr Hickman that the miners will be mindful of the craters integrity.
I may
well be labled as a sh*t stirrer, but I just can't stand by and watch silently as the greedy mongrels disembowel the
Pilbara, no matter how much they crow about jobs for the Aboriginal people and wealth for the nation, royalties for the region etc etc.
The way they are doing their buiness (mining) today is wrong, but very sadly it won't be blatantly bloody obvious until it's far to late ~ for the
Pilbara and the country in general.
You mentioned Diamonds in the Kintyre lease ~ would you believe
Carawine Gorge on the
Oakover river has been talked about as a source of diamonds, industrial grade but non the less the un thinkable may happen!!
Safe travells:
