Hi Everyone,

Thought I”d put this up now for the benefit of people who may not have seen the previous threads and also for people who are about to head away on Easter breaks [lucky ducks!].

EO Get together BBQ ! – Anzac day, Firth Park, Wombat State Forest - Victoria,[BYO everything – there are wood bbqs there but I’m not sure how many and I’m not sure what they’re like so if you have a small gas one bring it along just in case], from 11am onwards…which gives people time to mingle/meet, eat and go for some drives if they want to especially those coming up just for the day…[also gives those of us who are camping at Firth Park time to wake up and feel human I hope - lol - ]

For those who want to camp over night at Firth park on the Saturday and possibly Sunday for the lucky ones who don’t have to go to work on Monday…I’ll be in Firth Park from about 9.30am on Saturday the 24th to get a good spot..lol...I think the best place would be up the top across the road from the toilet block where the picnic shelter is, there is a quite a good area for camping there and a fire pit has already been dug.

The toilets are flushing [when they’re working!..lol] there is bore water in use so it is advised that drinking water be brought, there are no bins so please remember to bring rubbish bags – I’ll have heaps just in case !. It is advised that firewood be brought too, there are some large logs there but, I’m happy to bring along some redgum and some smaller stuff as well.

At this early stage I’ve no idea what the weather might do, as we get closer we’ll have an idea…it could be hellish…hahahaha…

Directions: if you need some contact me.

And finally

If anyone has anything else to add could you please contact me via my email addy, mobile phone no# [click on my pic to get the details] or member message me…could people also let me know whether you think you might want to come along so I”ve got an idea of who’s coming…

hope to see you there - and watch the forum for updates

cheers

Lyn

Just recieved confirmation from my supplier that I can get jelly crystals in bulk packaging. In reference to your earlier post regarding the jello wrestling, Which flavour do you prefer and are your new swimmers Jelly proof? Who is bringing the wading pool? I beleive that Jen would have loved to join you but she is tied up that weekend. Perhaps Ruthy could do a run down. She has ample supplies of hot water up there.
Please give me reasonable notice on the flavour selection.

Des..I'm not sure that swimmers are traditionaly worn during jelly wrestling...however...I assure you mine are jelly proof...and any flavour is fine apart from Strawberry...

A get together??? Really?? Gosh - where is it - how about some details. Mr Lexic has a habit of dropping his r's - we you look at him from behind you can see his r's is sagging... Jen is gunna be 'tired up' after her trip to Birdsville and Diamantina National Park and the Simpson Desert and all the other cool things - maybe even a flight over Lake Eyre on Ruthair. Think I am getting excited

You must work in the public service to have all this time up your sleeve.

Hi Des
I have wondered about Andrew's work also, I believe you are correct for a public service Plumber he certainly spends a large amount of time on his computer.

No wonder the toilets of Australia are backing up, get out there Andrew and do some work. LOL.

As A Vietnam Veteran I find this talk of Jelly wrestling disgusting on Anzac Day. Baked beans are far superior & one can maintain a modicum of decency if ones privates are covered in baked beans but lime jelly is a dead give away and it discolours my service ribbons.....nawwwwww Baked bean wrestling any day even Anzac Day!

Hi all. just following the banter about Jelly wrestling and flavours. Make mine port wine..may as well get tiddly in the process.

Unfortunately we won't be able to join in on the fun packed weekend as we will be at Mt Franklin with relatives.....
Have a great time and I expect to hear/see all the goings on in the forum afterwards.
