Thanks Stephen, after some research, we can't find any part of that route that requires a permit, none seems to be on Aboriginal lands.
Certainly we'll be contacting
Andado soon as part of the planning, as a courtesy (will ask them about permits too) . . . we drove Old
Andado on a side trip before a west - east crossing from Mt Dare in April last year, no idea if we went through any sort of non PAR on the route there and back, thought that was just a part of a public access rd from Mt Dare to Alice / Binns Tk.
Maybe it was / is, and it's just when you turn off that road where the courtesy request is needed.
I watched a video on Youtube the other night of a small group going through Geo Centre / Geosurveys in the e-w direction, and yeah, very slow going, we have allowed plenty of time for slow driving from FL to the Alice rd, and a rest day at Old
Andado, which we can use as a spare day for driving if needed.
Will post up here how it goes, maybe a bit of a TR on the main
forum.
