Thanks for a great description of your trip. As an expat Taswegian, it made me very homesick for the sites that you take for granted when you live there.

I lived on the west coast at Luina (between Waratah and Savage River) for 6 years. With my family, we worked a small gold prospect at Corrina on the weekends about 5 km towards savage River from the hotel. Your blog has inspired me to go back on our next holiday and spend some time there, this time taking in the scenery and not working for the yellow stuff. Thanks Dalb.

Thanks FE, glad you enjoyed it.
I write blogs to try and return something to members, because I learned so much from this site before I started my retirement travel.
I hope you enjoy your return to Tassie, and even though the locals say its not like it used to be, it is still a magic place that is so different to the mainland.
