I reckon you're all going to have a great trip. What you have on your done list sounds like my dream list.
We're heading off 29 July from near
Sydney for 6 weeks. From here to
Bourke,
Bedourie, Alice for the first week. From Alice we're heading west on the
Gary Junction Hwy to 80 Mile Beach and a couple of days at
Port Smith to rest. Up to
Broome and
Cape Leveque before moving on to The
Gibb River Road and Kunnunurra. From there we head back to
Alice Springs before travelling through either the Colson Track or the
Hay River Track onto The Simpson. Through The Simpson to
Birdsville for the Races and then dawdle home through Innaminka and
Tibooburra.
We have an 80 series diesel, set up for outback touring with a Shipp Shape tent on top. Just got ot get some new tyres (probably Wrangler Duratracs again) and throw in the fridge.
