Hi Lyn and Jim,
Your story made me smile - we did the same thing about 20 years ago (when we were late40s/early 50s) and only as fit as our sedentary lifestyle. We didnt start as early - just wanted to go the first few kms and come back in time for lunch, so only had a Mars Bar each. But we kept going all the way to
Cathedral cave. Magnificent walk, but coming back we were just about crawling our legs were so sore! Have always thought that if we did it again (and its probably a bit late now) we would
camp overnight at
Cathedral Cave.
