Comment: Road trip to Tasmania.

Welcome to Tassie, love reading other peoples thoughts about this wonderful State.
As you come south, good camping at Macquarie Heads, fee payable to caretaker, better than the CVP at Strahan, on the southern side of Queenstown camping at Lake Burbury, take a walk into Nelson Falls, Donaghys lookout which looks out over Frenchmans Cap.
A few ks the other side of Derwent Bridge "The Wall" is a must see.
Free camping at Hamilton, showers etc, at this stage you are about an hours drive from Hobart, that is if you don't turn right a few ks south of Ouse and cross the Dunrobin Bridge and head out towards Lake Gordon.
Could go on and on, enjoy the rest of your travels.
Cheers.
Baz

Hi Baz and Pud,

Thanks for the tour advice. Just returned to Zeehan camp after completing the 4wd track from Melba into Montazuma Falls. Scary suspension bridge at the falls! Cheers, Ian and Jill
