Hi David on our first visit to
Kakadu my wife started calling it crappy-poo and we found the donger style accommodation veryyyyyy expensive. On that trip we were 2wding it so we did 2 x 4wd tours (Jim Jim & Barramundi Falls) and a couple of the boat trips. We enjoyed them and found them reasonably priced.
Our last trip was 4wd and we had a totally different experience. We did the Yellow Waters dawn boat trip and it was fantastic and we also had permit only
camping at Koolpin Gorge which was magical. Agree that
Jabiru is a bit of an eye-opener but the
camping ground was ok.
Cheers
Dunc.
