I'm sorry it took so long for me to reply to your comment. I did most of the trip on my own. I attended the Aboriginal Dance Festival in Laura with friends from Sydney and spent a week with them at Palm Cove. Then I met other friends from Sydney in Broome and travelled some of the Western Australian coast with them, to Perth. We'd meet up here and there as our interests were not always the same. If you require any information, or I can be of any help, please let me know. I didn't feel unsafe anywhere and did some long trips on remote roads. I wish you well in your travels and hope you write a blog.
