Hi MH
A good report on the CVPs and
free camping in Tassie, but in regards to the southern part of the State there is
camping on the banks of the Huon River at
Franklin, inclds a
dump point, and a caretaker comes around and collects the fees of an evening, but i don't know what the costing is.
At
Huonville we now have a privately run caravan
park which is more like a farm stay, the owners run it as a self sufficient property, and give each visitor some of there produce/product on arrival, from memory costing is about $32 powered and $25 unpowered.
The CVP is in Wilmott Road
Huonville on the banks of the Huon River, flat grassed areas with showers and
toilets.
Cheers.
Baz

Thanks Baz. Even following recent Competitive Neutrality rulings, Tasmania is rich in free and low cost
camping opportunities.
