Looking for a decent battery box to fit out to replace the typical flimsy plastic one.
Not interested in the likes of ArkPacks, but trying to find that style of bare enclosure.

Any suggestions.

Thanks.

Phil,

What festures are you looking for in a battery box?
A plain vanilla style box is short of flimsy, but are suitable for a battery mounted internally or externally.

A better quality box with features such as input/output ports and a battery health gauge will cost more but offer more.
Derek, at Sidewinder supplies a really good one for about $120.

Simply a decent box I can fit out myself.
Something that's easier to carry than the usual flimsy ones where the lid pops off.

Noticed this...

but I could do my own electrics.

Baintech have a similar one to the above, but a little more basic for about $80, found Baintech have good quality products having used a range of them in the 80, or have someone like Enmach Industries blow mould one to your specs.

Baintech ones look similar to what I have.
The lid's always a problem when you pick them up.

The one from Sidewinder is good but if you want even more basic at $12.95 look at Whitworths bare enclosure here or here.

Alloy or steel would be your best option then. http://www.ebay.com/bhp/aluminum-battery-box
